Some children play by diving from the boats moored in the small port of Altamira, on the banks of the Xingù river. Altamira is a city located in the Amazon region and in the last ten years it has experienced a profound transformation and serious social conflicts related to the construction, in full indigenous territory, of a dam that was used to build the fourth largest hydroelectric plant in the world.
