Herons and otner birds compete for the remains of fish, after that fishermen have cleaned their fishing net in the beach of Bancarios. Bancario is located in the north-east of Ilha do Governador, the largest of the islands of the Guanabara Bay. Many of the fishermen who live in the inner part of the bay using this beach as a landing place, to stock up on food or fuel, or to rest when they stay at sea for more than one day.
